Experience the Bella's Cabernet Sauvignon 2020, with its aromatic notes of cranberry cocktail and warm Spring rains on the crush pad. The tightly wound tannin core is primed for release, ready to showcase its fruit essences and condensed tannins. Hand-harvested from the Ehret Family's Bavarian Lion Vineyards in the Knights Valley AVA, this wine benefits from the unique topography and soil content of the region. With its elevated vineyards and protected location, this AVA produces some of the most desirable Bordeaux and Northern Rhône grapes. Indulge in the sweet and serious nuances of this bottling, featuring a slatey palate with delicate fruit aromatics that extend into a long and satisfying finish.
- VINEYARD NOTES: The fruit for this wine is harvested by hand from the Ehret Family’s estate Bavarian Lion Vineyards located in Knights Valley. The Knights Valley AVA is protected from the marine influence of the Pacific Ocean, making it the warmest AVA in Sonoma County. The vineyards on the estate range from 400-800 feet in elevation and are located just north of Calistoga and east of Alexander Valley, on the foothills of Mount St. Helena. The unique topography and soil content make this a most desirable area to grow Bordeaux and Northern Rhône grapes. The soil consists of well drained, very gravelly and sandy loams formed from mixed sedimentary and basic rock.

- TASTING NOTES: The 2020 Bella’s opens in the glass with aromas of cranberry cocktail and warm, Spring rains falling on the crush pad. The tightly wound tannin core is like a sprinter in the starting blocks, having already “Ready...” and “Set...” and just waiting for the starter’s pistol to unfurl it’s muscular frame and “GO!!!” The condensed tannin and fruit essences fakes the senses into a sweet sensation. When drawn out on the finish though, this glacéed exhibition is extended into a slatey palate with lilting fruit aromatics that echoes the seriousness of this bottling.
